san diego broke a record with a high of 83 degrees. that's warm anytime of the year, but especially at the end of the year. a little fog right there. you can see some of that and this looks like it's trying to sneak in. by sunset, you may have a little bit. it's the cut off. but for us, the patchy fog by stockton. it might be sneaking in. i don't think it won't be as much as yesterday, but it picks up after 5:30, 6:00 hour. we have mostly clear skies and there's a decent breeze off the east bay bridge. they had -- it's isolated. it's mainly in the hills and the surface is calm. 40s, 30s for some. 36 for santa rosa. 36 fairfield and a little fog there as well. also windchill with a little westerly breeze for travis. low 40s, upper 30s, gilroy and morgan hill. santa clara at 41. there's cool readings and truckee 34. and 27 booking and sacramento and ukiah -- northern sacramento valley -- high pressure is large and in charge and it looks like it wants to stick around for two weeks. there are hints that maybe something changing or rain com

from san diego on up. alaska airlines. that's how we fly. and now, step up to alaska premium class, with upgrades starting at just $15. lawrence karnow: we enoyed a lot of sunshine and warmer weather today with some highs in the low 70s. it will be a nice mild evening and more spring like weather is ahead. if you're going out tonight you'll need a light jacket or coat. temperatures will begin mild but cool off rapidly. you can see some rain on doppler radar but it is well to the north. high pressure can be seen on the satellite image. it's a rather flat ridge allowing a few clouds to move over from time to time but we'll stay dry. as we head toward the later part of the week the ridge will strengthen to bring more sunshine and temperatures well above normal. for tomorrow we will see sunshine and a few clouds with mild temperatures in the 60s. we can expect a similar day on thursday. by friday offshore winds begin to clear our skies and bring unusually warm weather all the way to the coast. warm and dry weather will continue into the weekend.
